Many hotels offer nice rooms and a great wedding package, but when you want to spend time with your whole group before and after the wedding day your choices may be limited to sharing a lobby or public space with the other guests. Perhaps you have children or seniors in your group who have special needs. Perhaps you want to celebrate or just chat late into the night long after the bars are closed and the hotel staff has cleared away. You need your own private villa with attentive staff whose sole focus is to make you feel special during your stay and whose schedule is your schedule.

The laws of the Grenadines allow you to get married within one day of arriving in the country leaving you plenty of time to enjoy your honeymoon once the stress of the wedding day is behind you.

We offer affordable wedding packages which can be customized to your needs. We will assist you with licensing, location preparation, photography, catering, flowers, music, and transportation. We can arrange a beach wedding or hold the ceremony at Spring House. We will work with you to plan your wedding by setting the priorities which are most important to you. Truth in disclosure: We are not full service or full time wedding coordinators and planners. Although our House Manager has over 25 years experience as a hotel manager and is a professionally trained gourmet chef, our primary focus is providing all the services of a luxury all inclusive resort villa to our discerning guests. Despite this, we have successfully planned and hosted weddings at Spring House and continue to do so to a satisfied clientele.

We cannot arrange for you to be married on top of the Soufriere volcano, on a private island in the Tobago Cays, or underwater wearing scuba gear. If your budget allows, such services are available through professional wedding coordinators and we will gladly work with your planner during your stay at Spring House to achieve your dream wedding.

Legal Requirements:

In order to get married in the country of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, both parties must be resident for 24 hours. This is far less than most destination wedding venues and allows the couple to get married at the start of their vacation followed by the honeymoon period rather than having an upside down wedding vacation as is so common elsewhere.

A Government Special License must be obtained ($200 fee) and a License Marriage Officer ($95 fee) must officiate at the ceremony. You will receive an Official Certificate of Marriage valid throughout the world.

Wedding Packages:

Spring House Bequia offers two wedding packages (Package 1 and Package 2). These are designed to be a starting point for planning purposes and represent excellent value. Most of our couples choose one of these packages and then add additional items such as live music according to their personal tastes and budget. If you have other ideas or a specific agenda then please let us know so that we can advise you accordingly.

Flowers:

Spectacular tropical flowers are in abundance on these islands but there are no florist shops on Bequia, or in the Grenadines. Flowers are purchased directly from growers or the botanical gardens in Kingstown. Examples of the types of flowers available can be found at the following websites:

When choosing colors, please remember that all flowers are picked to your order and therefore not all varieties may be available or in bloom throughout the year. Spring House uses a trained and experienced floral arranger to create your bouquets, displays and corsages.

Photography:

If you require a photographer, we will gladly arrange one for you with whom you can discuss your requirements. We use a professional photographer, resident on Bequia, who produces excellent results at reasonable rates. He offers a variety of packages customizable to your wishes. Video services are also available.

Catering:

There are two basic choices for your wedding banquet. Firstly, we can cater the event at Spring House and we offer two menus (Menu 1 or Menu 2) from which to choose. Alternatively, we can make arrangements at one of the many fine restaurants on Bequia.

Please advise us if you have special requests and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Music:

A variety of live and pre-recorded options are available on Bequia. Styles from classical to country and pop to reggae can be arranged for your ceremony or party. Once again, let us know what your choices are and we will try to accommodate your requests.

Transportation:

Transportation options are fairly limited. There are no limousines on Bequia and the roads are too steep for horse drawn carriages. Please be modest in your expectations and we will do our best in traditional tropical wedding style.

Bridal Suite:

The bridal suite will be appropriately decorated as will the main areas of Spring House. Please let us know if you have special requests.

Wedding Cake:

Our wedding packages include a wedding cake. If you would like a special, or more ornate, cake we will be happy to contract with a baker in St. Vincent on your behalf.

Weather:

The weather in Bequia is generally excellent. That, after all, is one of the principal reasons that visitors come here. Most days are 82°F (28°C) with a light breeze. There are, however, times when we get a short-lived downpour or high winds. It may be necessary to adjust the venue from the beach or outdoors. Such is life in the tropics. We will do our best to minimize the disruption to your celebration but please remember that these events are not within our control.
